This book is a kind of manual or a small guidebook about proper choice of spices for complete gastronomic pleasure and in doing so, using healing characteristics of spicy plants to ease some health problems.
Author presented spices as healing plants and compared the understandings of general medicine about their healing capabilities with beliefs and experiences of traditional medicine. It is advised that the choice of spices is not based only on traditional ways of their usage, but also on the state of health.
It is mentioned that they can be used in daily diet as healing plants for the relief of one's own health difficulties, especially in chronic patients. As there are also spices with strong biological effects, the author gives recommendations about dosing and frequencies of usage taking into account their healing and possibly harmful effects. Book contains 66 spices with photos of plants.
